My Bluebeard

This lovely hat was delivered today and made by my mom AKA Grammy. Severin has a matching one that I will try to get a photo of as well. Just amazing mom. Frost can't wait to wear it snowboarding!

Fusion of Korean and Portland Fashions

It wouldn't be Portland without a hoodie. The dress is from Grammy's travels to Korea.

New Prints

The photo of the Thai Orchid was taken by my mom - she is currently traveling through Thailand. It was my inspiration for the prints below.

Christmas oh yeah!

For those of you who don't know, Christmas is my favorite time of year.

Let's start with the fact that Marlowe has the BEST god/guide parents EVER!! We had the pleasure of spending a sweet December morning with Sue and Mark (below) to celebrate an early Christmas. The simple things are what pleased Marlowe the most: a mini deck of cards, some measuring cups, and wooden blocks were the hit. I have to say that when Sue and Marlowe are together the moments are always marked by tons of laughter and silly jokes. Sue thinks that Marlowe may become a comedian when she grows up!

Secondly, we were so fortunate to spend a glorious evening with Jahrme, Frost's classy and clever son. Oh yeah, and tall...he's taller than me (I have heels on in this picture)! The three of us went to see the play,
A Christmas Carol, at the Armory in the Pearl District of downtown Portland. The set was gorgeous and the story beautiful. We then went for our traditional ice cream/gelato and Italian hot chocolates on the house.

Here is the cutest picture of Marlowe cozied up to her big brother.

We got our first real Christmas tree this year and decorated it with pine cones, white lights and black and white pictures of family and friends.

Marlowe hangs out with grandma and Santa. Mary made this suit for Marlowe's Great Uncle Larry.

Frost, Marlowe and I flew to Cincinnati for 8 days. Keely, who lives most of the year with her mom in Connecticut, was able to meet us for 4 of days. Truly AMAZING. This was the first Christmas that I have been able to spend with Keely. She loves being a big sister and helps out with everything Marlowe-related.

Here are the two sisters at my Dad and Debbie's house Christmas morning.

My sweet nephew Hank is now almost 6. He and Keely would have fun....and then they would fight....and then someone would say it was time to go home...and then they would be inseparable....so funny! Here they look like Saints.

Opening presents Christmas morning.

Story time with Dad AKA Uncle Frost...

We actually had a day when the fire was burning from morning until midnight!

And finally it snowed...
